Question Booze and security - do they mix well?

HIDDY is on the move next week to the land of HP Sauce and Baked Beans. ^

Now I have taken a look at the BAA site for some info about bringing booze into LHR but I am still confused and would like to ask the experts here on recent experiences.

I have been using the excuse for several years now that carrying liquids through airports is a no no to a mate of mine who always expects me to bring him his favourite bottle of 'water of life'. Saved a fortune I have, and I have been justified in pedalling that story since once seeing this big tough Australian bloke reduced to tears and the wailing of a child when security at the FCC took a bottle of 25 year old malt whisky off him - a sad sight indeed.

Now I am feeling generous, so I thought I would bring my old mate back a bottle of Black Grouse which I see BA are selling according in their High Life magazine, if I can buy it cheaper in Ezeiza's duty free I shall.

I am connecting from T4 to T5 just what are the requirements needed by security for me bringing through a bottle or two. Do the staff at Ezeiza have to seal the bag? I expect the BA FA's know what to do.Can I have two bottles in the one bag or does my wife's allowance have to be in a separate bag?
