since i almost never get higher than A47 no matter how many seconds after the 24 hour bell I get in, I have simply given up all hope of being in those coveted first few rows...plus those rows almost ALWAYS have a middle person by the time the plane leaves. I would much rather sit in the second to back row, with no one in the middle seat, than have to share an arm rest.

If you are A, you are basically guaranteed not to have to sit in the middle seat, which i hate almost as much as having someone else in it, I usually don't fight the number nazis...if there is a space in my general area, near the appropriate pillar, i aim for that. more likely than not, i just stay sitting until the A's start to move then I just tag along behind them.

I used to be one of those people who would go sit on the line, by the window, just to get everyone up and in line....and then I could get a seat in the lounge and still walk on last with the As....I guess I just don't mind waiting for people to get off the plane ahead of me.

ITTIA
