Most (all?) of the WN gates have the pillars, but it doesn't stop people from standing out of place.

On one of my flights last week, out of either Providence or BWI, there were a number of people standing in the A10-A15 area, all with their boarding pass number "casually" hidden. I had A16 or A17, so I held my boarding pass with the number visible and got in line in front them just before regular boarding started. Sure enough, none of them had A15 -- they were just trying to slip in front of others. If I had A18 or A19 I would have assumed they had lower numbers.
