I have an international United paid ticket that i would like to exchnage it for USAIRways exact same routing. I have an upgrade coupon for USAIR and can get an upgrade to envoy.
My question is has anyone done this before - taking a United ticket and handing it over to USAIR to fly on their plane?
Thanks</font>
Even if your ticket is non-refundable, it will be at the discretion of US Airways to accept your UA tkt. for travel.
If you do not make plans in advance via reservations, and simply walk up to US with a UA ticket, they may ask you to go to the UA counter to have your ticket endorsed to US from UA.
UA will NOT do this for a voluntary re-route.
If you have a refundable ticket, call UA res. and request a re-route onto US "metal". This can be done if the flights you want are loaded into the system using code-share flight numbers ("UA" flts. on US metal are in the 2200 series).
