I think the bankruptcy angle works the best. I had a call from HGVC a couple of months ago and I simply said that I had no money and I haven't had a call back. In fact, everytime I get a call from a company trying to sell me something, I always say I have no money and they hang up pretty fast and don't usually call back. Much more effective than requesting they don't call you again.
