The 717 was not being operated by QF but by NJS on behalf of QF. The crew are employed and trained by NJS not by QF.

It wasn't QF's choice to repaire the 744 but the insurers. If you know of a way to get an insurer to repair a write off please let me know as I am sure that is knowledge which might come in handy one day.
