I do a lot of shopping at tescos and i have just started collecting points to convert to BA airmiles. Can someone tell me if this is correct, assuming i spend all the money at tesco.

use a tesco credit card to spend £1000 at tescos

£1000x1.25=1250 points = 3000 miles


usa a BA amex to spend £1000 at tescos

£1000=1000 points = 2400 miles + 1000 miles from the BA card = 3400 miles total


I am not sure at the moment if i coud spend enough to trigger the 2 for 1 offer, so this doesnt come into the equation yet...... What i am not sure about is the tesco credit card part where you get 5 points per £4 spend, is this on top of the 1000 points i would get for a £1000 spend, if i paid by cash? i.e. 2250 points?
