In Australia tumble dryers, as oposed to UK style condenser dryers, do a great jobs of drying shirts, even pure cotton, without any creases at all although they don't come out crisp.
Actually fair point. Rescuing clothes immediately from the tumble dryer, shaking them out and hanging them up is a great way to avoid creases.
(No idea if the dryer I was using was condensor or not, but it used to work very well).
