OK, my mom called me tonight, she let me know she is going on a safari to Tanzania with a group from her work in January. I'm very excited for her. I asked her how she was getting there, and she said that she really wants to fly on the same flights as the group so she was just buying a ticket from the travel agent. 5 minutes later I had her itinerary and I was on the NWA site and see the flights were all available in the 240,000 miles for business fare class. I don't have that many miles on NWA and none on KLM, but I have tons on DL. I called DL SMS and tried to book the flights using DL miles, but the DL rep shows they are NOT available. She said that she thought she should have the exact same inventory available to her as NWA/KLM have. Any ideas?

I've got Amex MR and Diners DC points I could theoretically transfer to NWA/KLM if I had to, but my preference would be to use DL miles since that is what I have the most of and find hardest to use myself! Thanks in advance for any helpful tips--I want to get this booked tonight if at all possible.
