The Addison County Fair, Vermont's largest agricultural fair, occurs in early August. I like to combine it with a visit to Burlington, Stowe (including Ben & Jerry's), and Shelburne, Vermont, where Shelburne Farms and the Shelburne Museum could keep you busy for a day or two. This makes for a really nice week-long trip.
