Thanks for the information! ^ So the main difference is in the location / access of the airport. Well, my only options are taking a cab or the BART and it seems to me that the journey doesn't take such much longer (ca. 10 min), does it?

Follow-up question: the flight leaves at 06:30 am, when is the latest time to show up at OAK airport? Travelling with just hand luggage and doing web Check-In... Is 05:40 am still fine or too optimistic? How is security during this time of day?
