But then I had a look at OAK and discovered that AS offers a full fare ticket in F for around 440 USD (r/t). That is considerably cheaper than my next best alternative from SFO, and this clearly adds up to a saving of about 270 USD for the two us us!

And now my question would be if there are any disadvantages involved? Or is this difference only due do the fact that SFO is primarily a business route whereas OAK is targeted as a leisure one? And I assume the service will be different, so an enhanced meal vs. snack basket?

Any input or recommendation is highly appreciated! Thanks!
There is no difference in on board service. The primary difference is in location of the airport and available facilities. OAK can be somewhat inconvenient from the city of San Francisco, but it's a much better choice for just about anywhere in the East Bay and much of the North Bay, including Napa. There is no lounge access at OAK and the available food options are poor. However, the AS terminal at SFO is not tremendously nice, either, so ease of access is really the most important consideration.

Edited to add: I actually haven't flown this route since VX started service on SFO-SEA, so it may be that the F service is a bit more substantial from SFO than from OAK.
