The size and shape of cabin is not decided by airline.

The Cseries cabin is 14 cm wider than that of MD-80. The people-squashers can cut the seat pitch and add rows, but there is not enough space to add a sixth seat abreast.

The airline may decide whether to have wider aisles, wider seatbacks, wider armrests - but the width must go somewhere.
