Possible but not likely. First, you only get access to the OZ F lounges. Not any other. So AFAIK this limits it to Korean airports. So you only get this benefit when flying from Korea. So in your example, one would not get F lounge access as there is no SA flight departing Korea.

So yes, it is possible that you become a Diamond Plus without ever flying OZ but it is unlikely that you can use this F lounge benefit often when not flying OZ.

I understand your point, but in reality the difference would be negligible.
