I agree with Gleff.
the issue was that United makes it NOT easy.
Going to Boston's Logan Airport stinks no matter how you slice it and there are no more city desks.

Having to go or sign anything is dumb. This should be like with AA, who allowed me to simply fax in the marraige cert and that's all. They said their computers could handle this. Having different or hyphenatied last names is our choice, it is legal and it is the way we wanted it. I did not change mine because... because. Hey, should I have done it to appease some badly run airline or to appease our own needs and wishes which are our own personal ones and no one else's?

I think united needs to update itself. There should be no need to go do anything but inform them of the legal name change. People from all over the world fly on them and I bet that my hassle is nothing compaired to some, who have weird names or long ones, or family issues that prevent even the same address, etc.

But then, not fitting into THEIR norm is a security risk, right?
My gosh! What a crock.

It took too much angst to get my dang tickets. Hence, I may make this our last flight with them.

Is that how we choose who we like?
