You do have different names. So United did what exactly??? Put a hold on her account? Or wouldn't give you a ticket for her. The hold I can see as annoying, but the different names is a glitch I experience w/ a lot of places...

Welcome to the non standard world. I have a different last name than Mr. squeakr and my last name has an apostrophe so as you can imagine I go through this a lot.

have you thought about hyphenating your last name so the names match??? How come guys rarely do that???

Sorry for your plight but I don't have any good advice except the above...I've experienced much the same issues w/ all sorts of companies so I am used to it and am surprised when there isn't a hassle...even on our mutual account for hilton I have to be mrs. so and so....and don't get me started on car rentals....
