Thanks

Thanks everybody for replies so far.

At the moment, especially on sectors in/out of LHR, the new Concierges are completing training with "sign-off" flights (a sort of final exam for safety procedures that takes place in-flight): This can mean that they may be seen in pairs, and (as was mentioned above) not doing too many useful things for customers.

The role remains, at present, somewhat undefined: That is likely to change as we develop greater confidence, and as you develop more confidence in us (both as customers and as crew) - this may take a little time.

Next time that you see a Concierge, try us out. We're very anxious to get working on helping out. SQPPS - whatever you need on arrival, you should ask for: We may be able to surprise you with what can be done, and you lose nothing by asking. You should be able to find Concierges not only on board, but at check-in, in the lounge and at the gate, and most of us would love to get our teeth into chasing up a reservation at the other end.

nz_crew - I noted your comments and can only say that I'll work hard to ensure that I avoid the behaviours mentioned. Forgive me if I go no further, as I'm not absolutely certain this is the best venue for resolving the domestics.

Hopefully you all won't mind if this thread stays open as a learning tool for us, and for you: Please let us know how we can improve the service offered.

P.S. I've just passed my sign-off and am now "live" so will be flying alone with the crew - I look forward to meeting you all
