I've read a lot of grumblings on this forum about Qantas's cuts to safety, and I was wondering if people still feel that Qantas is safe. Their fleet is growing old (which is no indication of safety problems, I realize).
Anyway next Thursday I am flying BDL-LAX on Delta and then picking up QF176 to Brisbane. The 747-400s have had some problems this year, raising my anxiety level somewhat (Im a pretty bad flyer). I obviously don't have a choice, but does anyone think that Qantas' practices in safety are going to catch up to them?
QF is one of the world's safest airlines. Nothing has changed on that front.
I echo the warnings above - I too would be more afraid of the Delta flight.
In fact, Delta is #2 on my blacklist, right behind Singapore Airlines.
