jreuschl, what day of the week and time would you be connecting in Atlanta? It's usually pretty busy in the early morning and late afternoon, particularly if there is rain or thunderstorms in the forecast. The good thing is, your FL departing gate shouldn't be too far away from your arrival (assuming they don't switch gates).
I would be arriving in Atlanta at 9AM, departing at 10AM. As far as checking on-time performance, as of the day before (Sept 4th) the Atlanta flight is a new time (two hours earlier), so I don't really have much to go on.
I'll likely go with Frontier. Can't trust what Midwest will do with schedule, and I'm nervous about the Atlanta layover.
I was just in DC a few weeks ago (flew Midwest) and the Airtran flight to Atlanta was 2 hours delayed, everyone was in line likely to rebook connecting flights, maybe that was a hint of what could happen

I'm sure if I don't do Airtran, the flight would have been perfectly on time!
