Before UA announced the waiver for the "SARS" Disease, I tried to re-route a ticket to HKG. I told the agent, I was afraid to travel because of the rapidly spreading disaese in the city of Hong Kong. The agent said that she could not waive the fees for that reason, but if I was afraid to travel because of the WAR, the agent told me she could change my routing and WAIVE the fees. So, I rephrased my sentenced and got my ticket re-routed. Now I am off to BKK instead of HKG on the my same dates. There was an additional $83.50 charge because the fare to BKK was that much higher that the price I paid to go to HKG.
