I know Japan has it's own Expedia, but wonder if there are any Japanese owned and managed OTAs out there.
As you might expect most Japanese websites are in Japanese.
Largest agents I can think of are
H.I.S. and
JTB (an old established institution). Neither is an online only TA though, especially H.I.S. which seems to have a branch in every town!
Purely online (I believe) agents include
Rakuten,
Jalan and
Yahoo Travel.
