I stayed at the Sheraton NY Towers last night on the 33rd floor. This morning at around 745am it took 30 minutes to get an elevator to stop that had room on it. Of the 6 elevators on the bank, only 2 ever showed up.... always jam packed. I finally squeezed into an up elevator and rode it all the way to 50 and then back down, stopping at almost every floor along the way.

It seems unbelievable that a hotel on a busy night in NYC (all star game) would have 4 of 6 elevators out of service for maintenance. If 4 of 6 elevators are broken at one time, I'd certainly think that's a major safety issue.
