Obviously BLR-SFO isn't considered to be as sure a be or as lucrative as BOM-LHR. That was always my stand. An airline that starts its. An Airline based in BLR planning to start a flight to London, from Bombay, despite the competition from BA, VS, AI and 9W, before starting the oft touted non stop SFO-BLR shows hollow arguments of those almost sounding like IT was being organised to fulfill needs of one market.
It makes sense as Bombay is cabaple of serving a larger segment of population than BLR could ever hope to in the next 15 years.
BOM sure is a bigger market than BLR, but your oblivion to the current clout BLR has in aviation circles is unwarranted for. but for the feed BOM gets from pune, gujarat, MP, rajasthan, goa, which BLR doesnt, BOM ends up only notches ahead of BLR which is predominantly an O/D airport.
