But don't ever expect the three to Merge into one huge car company. The three brands have their own niche.
Enterprise has always catered to the insurance replacement/neighborhood rental customer, though they are in the airports.
Alamo mostly caters to the leisure renter while still maintaining a business base too.
And National has most of it's client base as the Business Traveler with many leisure travelers enjoying it's Choice system of renting.
Enterprise has a firm hold as the Largest Car Rental Company in the World with all three brands, it has over a million and a half cars on the road.
Being a Family Owned Company...that's Amazing these days. Enterprise purchased the parent company of National/Alamo - Vanguard from Cerabus (sp) and is still working out the kinks as the two bring all the pieces together. That's a lot of people. So there are many things still to come as far as changes in all brands, down the road. It's like a TV show...we have to Stay Tuned...and watch it unfold! :-)
