I shopped around the UA Europe Winter Fare Sale, and didn't find anything that was a good deal, or cheaper to any regular fares. I looked during the entire duration of the sale period, but the prices in my opinion didn't seem anything to whip your card out for. I played around with dates, times, destinations, etc, still nothing that would have prompted me to buy. In fact, I did a search this morning to compare the pre/post sale prices, and didn't see any difference in many markets.

During the sale period, I also compared against the travel sites and a couple of consolidators and they were cheaper than UA website, some significantly on the same itinerary. These prices included taxes and fees.
