I couldn't agree more. I have stayed at this hotel several times. Staff is very professional and the hotel is always spotless. Parking is in either of two City-owned garages flanking the hotel that are connected by skyways. You are correct that there are several restaurant choices within walking distance. To the west a block is "The Haymarket", a historic area of restored warehouses that now are restaurants, bars, and shops. To the north across the street is the beautful city campus of the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Hotel does a brisk convention business so getting in and getting a good rate is a challenge on occassion. And with the UNL stadium a couple blocks north getting a room in the fall on a home football weekend is all but impossible. Area is very safe at night.

Breakfast is probably the best of any Embassy I have stayed in. In fact, the last time I was there I hunted down the manager to compliment the cook. Place was very busy, but cook was patient, polite, and omelletes were fantastic. Manager's reception is the usual vegie platter and pretzels although, on occasion, they have had hot hors d' oeuvres.

I am a Diamond and I have never been upgraded.
