This is related to the jawbone discussion, so I figured I'd post here. I got my jawbone through 1saleaday (thanks TAHKUCT ^). It works well, except for the voice dial feature of my Razr V3 (a or m, not sure). I can initiate the voice dial by pushing the button on the phone and it transfers through to the headset and I can do it, no problem. Jawbone is supposed to allow initiation from the headset...but this does nothing.
I spoke with Aliph, and the rep had had the same problem on his (bluetooth 1.1) but not his mom's (bluetooth 1.2 (or 2.0, don't recall) phone). He's pretty sure it's the phone's old bluetooth protocol.
I like my razr, so no need for a new phone.
Finally, the question- is there any way to flash the bluetooth version to something later (1.2 or 2.0)?

I believe that it's not just a firmware difference, but also requires different hardware. You might check with your service provider, though, because phone firmware is frequently updated.
