Reviving this old thread ... just curious if anyone has any experience to share? (Comments above are speculation mostly, but no hard data!) Again, this is a SQ-operated flight but cheaper if I book it with the Virgin flight number. As you can tell, back in August-2007, I ended up taking a different flight, so none of my own experience to share either.
