I havent tried that many in London. More somethign that her Indoors and I partkae whilst travelling. However, had afternoon tea 2 days running at Le Manoir in Oxfordshire and The Langham Hotel in London.

Surprisingly to us, we enjoyed the Langahm more. The freshly cooked scones were superb (plain, fruit and the choc chip which while maybe not traditional were fantastic.)

They are doing some work to the entrance of the hotel mu the restaurant and tea room were finished months ago and are a great place to unwind.
