When I see "my itineraries", they show up, but when I actually click on the itinerary, it says there aren't any! (I have to then type my full name and confirmation number, and then the system can find it). I've always gotten mileage credit, but then again I always show the agent my Skymiles card and ask them double-check that my FF number is entered. On the other hand, when my ticket has my first initial only, I've never had any problems even on international flights or going through customs.

Is this something I should try to correct? I didn't see an option to update your name in the Edit Profile page on Delta's website. Is it even possible to change the name on your account?
My mother in law had the same problem. Her SM account was always listed as her first 2 initials as that is the name she goes by generally. But she has used her full first name on her tickets for some time now due to the security issues involved. She has never had a problem getting mileage credit as long as her SM number is entered (although she mostly flies on award tickets these days). But she had the same problems with itineraries not showing. After booking her an award ticket this spring using my wife's miles, I noticed the problem again, so I suggested that she contact Delta.

As GUWonder says, mail or fax will be necessary although you could start with a call. My mother-in-law called Delta and they said they would make the change, but she would need to fax in a copy of her photo drivers license. She did this and her account shows her full first name now.
