Availability is same or better than UA since AC doesn't screen out partners awards to my knowledge. But that NA-OZ business ticket in December remains as elusive as Bigfoot.

Fees are likely higher since AC nails you with fuel surcharges (getting nastier by the day) and you really do need to call in to arrange an award unless you have a very simple routing. The award search engine is poor to be nice about it. Can't mix and match legs, etc... you get blocks of flights in toto.
