Have not changed carriers but I am starting to look at segment counts, since I'm loosing a bunch of EQMs. The fact is that the 500 minimum would give me the "extra" miles for next level of status.

I bet the fact that Delta, doesn't give EQSs, yet*, might hold people back from jumping over there for the miles if they do a lot of short hauls.

*NW does give EQS and after the merger everything I read seems to point in the direction of the "new" Delta starting also to give EQS
