Do traveller's cheques still exist?

You may not get the exchange rate posted on your ATM slip, but you can be darn sure that whatever it is, it will be better than you'll get for a TC!

Post office is best, in my very limited experience. There's one at Narita T1 but it's in the shopping center area, not the arrivals hall, and may take a bit of time to find.
