I've used a program called Photo Rescue by a company named Data Rescue.

I used this to recover images from corrupt CF cards when I worked at a newspaper in FL. Saved my butt a couple of times on deadline assignments too.

The Sandisk statement about "almost" never having hardware failures is hard to believe.

Good luck and remember don't use the card anymore until you get a program to scan the card for data.
