N is N... and fares are definitely stranger than fiction, given the extensive use of predictive analytics / yield management / revenue management to make hundreds, if not thousands, of fare changes a day. Then again, if it were all entirely rational and transparent to us, we might not be here on FT.

Thanks, my only concern was buying through Travelocity instead of aa.com. Which became a moot point, as the aa.com price dropped $40 bucks in the last 2 hours and is now a little below the Travelocity price, so I booked on aa.com.
