If a hotel has no suite what so ever then I can understand and accept no upgrade. However, a policy stating that we have suites but will not give to platinum members as a reward for their loyalty is insulting. I do my best to keep my Platinum stauts mainly for the upgrade. I stay with starwood even though they maybe more expensive and more inconvenient location wise. If this is what the policy is, I will do everything I can to avoid booking these hotels. I will take my business to a hotel that will do their best to recognize and treat their most loyal platinum members well.
