Had a truly outstanding FA flying PDX-ORD yesterday (Janna, SEA-based). She knew each passenger by name without the manifest by the time we were airborne, was very pleasant, and never disappeared the whole flight.

In contrast, I had a terrible crew ORD-PDX last Wed.

FA offered only H20 as predeparture drink -- declined a passenger request for Pepsi, when she herself spent much of the predeparture time in the galley drinking pepsi and gabbing. Disappeared for most of the flight. (I find this a common occurance on flights where the purser announces that the FAs are "primarily there for your safety.") Also a very smelly lav.

But the reason for the post was that on this particular flight the FA took meal preference back to front which I hadn't seen on UA before.
