R and I are meeting up in gay Paree for a romantic week next month. He's read about le Marais as being a gay haven, and it's been so long since I've visited Paris my experience and memories may not have any relevance to the current state of things there.
Looking to stay at or under ~US$500 per night, non-smoking, air-conditioned. "Charming" would be nice, HUGE would not; gay-operated is okay but not a requirement; quiet, comfortable, easy walk to the metro are.^
