Even when based in BKK, I'd deliver the 'full court press' for missing miles:

make a colour scan of all documents

Email your request to Thai ROP (scans attached), noting that you are sending a hard copy as well
Mail the hard copy (scanned) documents
Follow up after 2 weeks,
Follow up after 2 more weeks

Never failed for me......

Yes, walk-in service available at ROP Service Centre in majors THAI booking offices (Silom, Larn Luang, and Vibhavadi-Rangsit). I'd usually go to the head office on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road.
