Where to go in the U.S. (April 09) with first time visitors?
My mother is hitting 65 next year, and would like to take her husband (my father), me, my SO and my brother on a ~1 week+ vacation.
As they've never been to the US before, that's where they want to go. My brother has never been to the US either, but me and my SO have been there several times for both business and vacation (New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, most of California, Seattle to name some places).
We're thinking about Easter '09 (First and second week of April next year), but have trouble deciding where to head for. My dad has always wanted to see New York, but I'm not sure if it's the right time of year (and hotels in that city are just too d**n expensive IMHO), my mother, on the other hand, was thrilled to see the average high temperatures for Miami, FL on weather.com. For me, its no such big deal as I go to the US numerous times a year, I just hope that I can show them the America I love.
Any opinions, suggestions etc.?
