Hopstop clocks the Howard Beach AirTrain-->A-->L (via Broadway Junction) at about 15 minutes faster than Jamaica AirTrain-->J-->L (via Broadway Junction).
She's going to an apartment right around the corner from the Bedford Ave stop on the L, so I don't think the G is really an option.
It looks like taking the A or E all the way to 14th in Manhattan and grabbing the L there will add about a half hour to the trip. Which isn't unreasonable if safety is truly an issue, but that's stretching out the trip to the point where a taxi starts to look worthwhile (especially at night when she'll be tired and there shouldn't be too much traffic).
Anybody else have recent experiences with Broadway Junction, preferably at night? dhammer53? LandingGear? canarsie?
