This is a shop the airline uses to (on certain routes) branch out in to liquor and tobacco sales. You'll hear the BA staff in their BA uniforms make an announcement about this...then later on you'll see the BA staff in their BA uniforms come around and see if you want to avail yourself of their exciting range of (non-travel-related) items. If you are so inclined, you'll receive a BA receipt for your purchase. And even BA miles! Not entirely unreasonable to ponder if one can use a BA MCO in such circumstances I'd say. Enjoy!
