Are you sure it's dead
I've been looking at a fare from LHR to LAX/SFO and I see it at around 340 AI Depart in Sept return Set/Oct/or March all on BA non stop flights. I don't want to purchase it, so I get as far as the CC page and quit and the price stays the same.

I have not tried other destinations.
