BRG: Vegas.com "Double the Difference" Guarantee. Vegas hotels under $10 per night.

In booking my recent Las Vegas vacations, I noticed that the Vegas.com Best Rate Guarantee is really a "Double the Difference' BRG. Up to $150 per booking. Unlike Hotwire's Double the Difference BRG, which is limited to $1000 per household, per year, no more than 1 claim per 6 weeks, Vegas.com does not seem to have any maximum number of claims allowed (other than the $150 cap per reservation).

Here is a link to the Vegas.com Double the Difference Best Rate Guarantee Terms and Conditions:
http://www.vegas.com/incl/q12003/inf...ate.html#terms

Here are some sample Double the Difference BRG's I found using Expedia today (you can use any U.S. based website for your claim per Vegas.com rules). Expedia, which normally has a 24-hour sale every Wednesday, appears to be having a 48-hour sale today (Wednesday).

I am using 8/26-8/28 as the sample dates (Search your own dates and match rates. It doesn't have to be 2 nights as I searched. Just don't exceed $150 per reservation in "Double the Difference' if you want to maximize your savings):

Orleans Hotel & Casino. Vegas.com: $50.00 per night. Expedia.com: $30.60 per night. Double the Difference: $38.80 per night.
Final cost $11.20 per night plus taxes/fees based on Vegas.com price.

Gold Coast Hotel & Casino. Vegas.com: $43.75 per night. Expedia.com: $26.40 per night.
Double the Difference: $34.70 per night
Final cost $9.05 per night plus taxes/fees based on Vegas.com price.

These two hotels also impose a $5 resort fee at the hotel. I was just at the Orleans last weekend. Also, $11.99 per day for high speed internet (wired or wireless). The Orleans has also finally installed (free) safes. I think they were the last major hotel in Las Vegas to install safes.

There were many other hotels that I did not list in which rooms were lower on Expedia vs. Vegas.com but these were the most extreme in difference for the sample dates I listed. Again, the match doesn't have to be with Expedia so the searching for the Double the Difference guarantee is nearly endless as long as it is a U.S. based website.
