Yes. When you really need it, it will not be given and the excuse of "we're full tonight" will be offered. Has happened to me at least 5 times, usually on a Sunday when all I'm trying to do is have the opportunity to take a 1-2 pm shower after a 11 or 12pm hockey game.

That is my experience, I'm sure I'll be in the minority of future commenters as usual!
