1. U can buy points directly from Marriott to get enough for a free room night. $12.50 will getcha 1000 points & with 7500 U can get a free night at a Cat. 1 Fairfield Inn.
2. U can transfer fee-free into your TP's acct. Each of U will fill out half of a form, sign, & fax to Marriott. Ignore the word "spouse" in the instructions on the Website--MR will transfer to anyone.
