8x United Miles Is a Great Holiday Gift Idea

This holiday season, spend your money smarter on gifts for the tech-savvy in your life. Through the United MileagePlus Shopping website, you can earn 8 MileagePlus Miles per $1 spent online at Apple. Act soon, because the deal could end at any time.

Having a hard time deciding what to get for the tech lover in your life? Reward yourself this holiday season and give an awesome gift thanks to United Airlines and Apple. For a limited time, the United MileagePlus Shopping online mall is offering 8 United MileagePlus miles for every $1 spent at Apple.

Bonus Offer: Earn 8 Miles per $1 Dollar Spent

The deal is good for virtually all products purchased through the link on the United MileagePlus Shopping portal online. By using the link and then purchasing Apple products, you can earn 8 miles per $1 USD spent at the store.

For example: If you purchased the Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max at $1,099, you could earn 8,792 United MileagePlus miles with one transaction. If you stacked the offer with a United co-branded credit card, you could earn even more miles for the transaction.

Just how far can 8,792 United miles get you? They’re a good start. United award redemptions start at 12,500 for one-way flights within the continental United States. Add your 9000-ish miles to the United miles you’ll earn from your holiday travel and you’re on your way to a bonus trip.

As with all offers, limitations apply. Disqualified from earning points are the 16-inch MacBook Pro, AirPods Pro, gift cards, gift wrap, Bose products, Apple Developer Programs, and shipping. Only purchases made through the United MileagePlus Shopping link are qualified to earn points–orders from government, military and veteran’s stores don’t count. Purchases are direct to consumer only, meaning no reselling is allowed, and limitations may apply on some products.

Is It a Good Deal?

Despite United moving to a dynamic award chart, this can still be a great deal for those who live in a United hub or city where United is a major carrier. With the additional bonus points, you could be very close to scoring your next vacation at a very low price.

As with any deal, it’s smart to jump on it sooner rather than later. As we’ve seen in the past, these bonus deals can get taken down without warning, leaving only remnants of what was an awesome double-dip deal waiting for flyers.

I have seen one way tickets price out at 5,000 miles with UA's new dynamic pricing scheme.... good deals are out there.
