US Transportation Officials to Discuss Laptop Ban With EU

On Wednesday, American transportation and security officials plan to meet with members of the European Union in order to discuss the U.S. plan to expand its in-flight laptop ban to include flights to and from Europe. According to European Commission spokesperson Margaritis Schinas, this meeting is meant “to jointly assess any new threats and work toward a common approach to address them.”

Not in favor of an electronics ban on transatlantic flights but we used to have to boot up all laptops at TSA/Security and electronics were wiped for traces of explosives regularly at Secondary screening at the gate. These practices should be returned. If it means pax not arriving 2 hours before international flight miss it, that is their problem.
