Pilot “Disagreement” Delays United Flight

An alleged skirmish between two pilots of a United Express flight led to a five-hour delay for travelers at Lubbock Smith International Airport (LBB) over the weekend. The Houston-bound UA 4453, operated by ExpressJet aboard an Embraer ERJ-135, was delayed to “crew availability” according to ExpressJet spokesman Jarek Beem.

“There was a disagreement among crew members,” said Beem. “There was no fight … there was no physical altercation thankfully.”

The “disagreement” was enough to warrant a call to police. Beem said passengers were provided with a replacement crew and the airline is investigating the incident.
