United Airlines Opens Grab-and-Go Fly Club in Denver

For time-strapped flyers transiting through Denver, United Airlines offers a new solution: A "grab-and-go" United Club allowing flyers to get a quick snack and beverage before their next flight.
Offering on-the-go convenience, United Airlines has announced that it has opened up a new club concept – United Club Fly – at DIA.  The airline says that the grab-and-go format is a convenient solution that meets the demand of its passengers.

Much to the relief of its hungry, time-poor passengers, United Airlines announced on Monday that it opened a new club concept at Denver International Airport (DEN).

Denver Grab-and-Go Lounge: Small in Size, Big on Convenience

With a smaller physical footprint than the conventional United Club experience, this new concept – United Club Fly – serves up snacks and beverages plus quality coffee for those transiting through DIA.  In addition to this latest opening at Denver, the United Club Fly concept also has a presence at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Phoenix Sky Harbour International Airport (PHX).  According to an announcement by the airline, the grab-and-go format of United Club Fly is unique to a U.S. carrier, something which United believes meets the needs of its passengers.

United Club members, premium international and those holding one-time United Club passes can access United Club Fly by scanning their boarding passes at each location’s automated entry gates.  Inside the DIA location – situated within the newly expanded Concourse B area – passengers will find a chalet-inspired space featuring decor and furnishings from local artists.

In addition to sandwiches, wraps, salads, fruit and snacks, passengers can also enjoy a full-service coffee bar and a range of non-alcoholic drinks from a self-service area.  Once they’ve made their selections, passengers can simply exit via the turnstile to carry on their journeys.

United Concept Meets Passenger Demand Without Sacrificing Exclusivity

Speaking about United Club Fly, Marketing & Loyalty VP and MileagePlus President Luc Bondar, said, “United Club Fly is all about elevated convenience. We know there are times when our members are in a hurry and use our clubs to sneak a quick drink or snack, so we’ve created this new format to make it easy for them to do that without sacrificing an upscale club environment.  In Denver, more than two-thirds of our customers are connecting to other places, making it the ideal city to introduce this concept.”

At least a year behind Air Canada on this concept too, not sure when the Maple leaf cafe and Maple leaf express opened up in YYZ, but they have been around for a while.

Sounds like someone from United just got the details on the American Airlines Admirals "Pop-ups" in DFW....  just a few years late!

Sounds like a way to screw Club members out of alcoholic drinks.
